What is faith? It is one of those intangibles that you can't put your hands on. You can't see it or touch it. It would be difficult to prove its existence. Yet the scripture says it is the substance of things hoped for. How can it have substance when you can't touch it? Then the Scriptures go on to say it is the evidence of things not seen. How can it be evidence when you can't see it? That is the mystery of faith. It is that which we exercise even when we do not know whether we can touch it or not. The testimonies of the biblical characters bring meaning to the reality of faith.
The Book of Hebrews gives us an advance course in the existence of faith. By faith, Abraham started on his journey. He did not know where he was going but he started anyhow. God told them to go and that he would make of his people a great nation. Interesting thing was that Abraham was an old man when he got started. We never know when the Lord is going to call us to do something different. Sometimes he calls us to a special mission in our youth. Other times he calls us when we should be retired and sitting in our rocking chair. That is what faith is all about.
I believe that God can make a way out of the way.
Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Blessings,
Pastor Moses
